Start with the engineering decision
Preserve the source table’s named series, units and reference dimensions. Do not treat a listed size as a guaranteed stock format, dimensional tolerance or finished-core envelope. Confirm available form, dimensions and documentation for the actual project through a scoped request.
Translate the component into a controlled core brief
Separate starting sheet geometry from the released part. The latter may need machining stock, nesting allowance, contours, local thickness changes, holes or interfaces that are absent from a reference table. Include final and starting dimensions where known.
Connect the material question to the process route
State whether the request is for full sheets, blanks or a CNC-prepared core. Attach CAD or drawings for finished geometry and define any cutting, bonding, inspection or packing context. This enables a practical review without assumptions about stock or tolerance.
