Define the controlling geometry
A project may include a STEP or STP model, an STL reference, a DXF profile, a DWG drawing and a PDF note set. The submission should identify which file controls the geometry and revision, which documents are reference-only and how conflicts are resolved. This is more important than simply attaching multiple formats to an RFQ.
Use drawing notes to explain the component intent
Models describe shapes, but they may not state datum references, critical features, visible surfaces, local interfaces, required finish or inspection expectations. Pair the model with the notes that explain how the core will meet a mould, laminate, attachment or assembly operation. This lets the machining review preserve functional intent.
Prepare the handoff to manufacturing
State material direction if known, core form, thickness, quantity, feature purpose, process context and packing requirements. A useful file package supports CAD review, machining sequence and a protected handoff into the next composite operation.
